The quality of the floor drain is mainly reviewed from five angles:

1. Plastic simple floor drain

Most of the floor drains reserved by developers are of this type. In addition to being cheap, certain filtering effects are all disadvantages. It can only be installed where there is an S trap underneath.

2. Water-sealed floor drain
Principle: Use the discharged water to form a barrier against odors and insects.

2.1. Shallow water sealing floor drain

The traditional water-sealed floor drain has a bell-shaped structure, which is buckled on the outlet of the sewer pipe like a buckled bowl structure, forming a "U"-shaped water trap, and the "water seal" in the water trap is used to achieve the sealing effect.

The water seal of most water-sealed floor drains is shallow and the amount of water sealed is too small, which will dry up and stink due to factors such as time and dry weather; and the deeper the water seal height, the more it will affect the drainage speed (Jiajiaan, Six-proof, Fragrance). , Juweijing, Submarine II), the deposited dirt is more serious and difficult to clean.

2.2, deep water sealing floor drain

advantage:

The anti-odor and insect-proof effect is good. If the real 304 stainless steel floor drain core is used, it can be used for decades without breaking;

shortcoming:

304 steel is expensive, the inner core needs to be cleaned regularly, and the water is not very smooth.

There are many imitation products, and 304 stainless steel is replaced by alloy, which is easy to rust and break.

The water is not very fast (the small space of the floor drain core is divided into two halves, of course, the water is slow)

High installation height requirements (generally above 12cm)

3. Self-sealing floor drain
3.1. T-type floor drain (T-type core)

advantage:

Anti-odor, anti-insect, anti-return effect, fast water, anti-backflow. Especially the submarine floor drain, the workmanship is extremely delicate;

shortcoming:

The floor drain core needs to be cleaned, and there is back water in the floor drain of the washing machine

If the self-sealing principle is magnetic attraction, the iron slag is easily absorbed on the floor drain core, and the hair is easily entangled on the piston in the middle, resulting in lax closure; the magnet will fail for a long time;

If the self-sealing principle is a spring, the water will be slow when the elastic force is large, and the sealing will not be tight when the elastic force is small. After a period of time, the spring will rust and fail, and the deodorant effect will not be achieved.

3.2, V-type floor drain

Principle: When there is water, the water force will flush the silicone sheet, and when there is no water, the two pieces of silica gel will automatically close to achieve the effect of deodorization.
Advantages: fast launching, no water return, good deodorant effect, low installation height requirement (5.5cm), good deodorant and anti-backflow effect, and easy to clean

Disadvantages: The insect-proof effect is poor, the mouse will bite off the silicone core, the workmanship is slightly rough, and needs to be improved.

3.3, flap type

Gravity flap

The gravity flap type is mainly used for the displacement of the 40-degree water pipe. The biggest disadvantage is that the sealing is not strict, and there are residual hair and other debris, which can not achieve the deodorant effect.

Magnetic flap

Use magnetic suction + heavy hammer to achieve self-sealing effect.

Good deodorization and anti-reverse effect, good filtration, anti-backflow; simple structure, easy to clean, fast water speed; medium installation height (8.5cm); high quality requirements for the inner core (sealed, durable)

3.4. Bounce

The principle of manual control and closing is similar to that of the bathtub and basin bouncing drains. The main disadvantages are that it is difficult to clean and has high requirements on the life of the bouncing structural hardware, and is not commonly used in home decoration.
